Dogs are welcome at The Broadstairs Townhouse by agreement. Tell the booking team about your dog before reserving and confirm any charges and house rules. Bring their usual bed, bowls, lead and a towel for sandy paws; familiar things make a new place feel easier.
Viking Bay has a seasonal restriction
Viking Bay does not allow dogs on the beach at any time from 1 May to 30 September. A dog-friendly house does not mean every nearby beach is available to dogs throughout the year. Check the council’s current beach rules and signs before heading onto the sand.
Choose the walk before leaving
Use the official dog-friendly guide and council beach list to choose a route suitable for your travel dates. Rules differ between bays. Make your first walk short enough to learn the area, then plan a longer outing once you know the conditions and your dog is settled.
Build in comfortable stops
Check directly with cafés and pubs before visiting with a dog: indoor access and busy-service arrangements can vary. Pack water and plan breaks. For beach outings, take a towel and allow time to clean up before coming back into the house.
A relaxed evening back at the townhouse
A coastal stay can be as simple as a good walk followed by supper together. The kitchen and living spaces make it easy to enjoy the evening at home. Follow the agreed pet arrangements, and ask the booking team about any specific needs before your stay.
