For location managers

Plan the practicalities.

A recce is the best way to assess access, equipment and the working layout. Visits are by appointment and arranged around existing stays.

Access & equipment

Entry is through the front of the house, with internal stairs between levels and no lift. Check doorways, stair turns and equipment sizes at your recce; step-free access is limited.

Parking & loading

No dedicated on-site production parking or drive-in access. Public parking is around 30 metres away, subject to charges and restrictions. Agree a loading plan; larger productions may need an off-site unit base.

Council parking information

Power, sound & daylight

Domestic electricity, Wi-Fi, water, toilets and heating are available. Confirm electrical capacity, cable routes, daylight and sound conditions at the recce. Discuss generators and additional power before planning them in.

Crew & support spaces

Crew and cast numbers are agreed for each production. Discuss which rooms can support wardrobe, make-up, kit or catering. Overnight accommodation for up to ten may be arranged separately; this is not a crew-capacity limit.

The coast & public spaces

The seafront is close by, but house hire covers only the areas agreed at the property. Plan any beach, pavement or road filming and parking permissions separately with the relevant authority.

Dates, hours & fees

Rates depend on production type, crew, hours and disruption. Include prep and strike time in your enquiry. The rate, dates, access hours, crew size and permitted use all require the owner’s written approval.

Know the layout

A townhouse,
across four levels.

Kitchen and dining on the lower ground floor; living space on the ground floor; bedrooms and study above. There are several flights of stairs and original floorboards that can be uneven.

Use the plans to begin your assessment, then confirm working dimensions, access routes and room use on site.

A character home, carefully used

Agree the details
before the shoot.

Every shoot is subject to a written location agreement. Include the following in your brief so restrictions and arrangements can be settled in advance.

Protect & reinstate

Set out floor and surface protection, furniture or artwork moves, set dressing, fixings and reinstatement. Do not move, alter or attach anything without written agreement. Original floors call for suitable footwear and careful equipment handling.

Effects, animals & sensitive scenes

Flag animals, drones, smoke or haze, flame, weather effects, nudity and other sensitive content at enquiry stage. Any permission must be specific and in writing. Smoking inside and private parties are not permitted.

Respect the neighbours

This is a residential street. Include amplified sound, exterior activity, early starts or evening work in your plan so working hours, noise and access can be agreed.

Insurance & handover

Discuss production insurance, risk assessments and method statements, deposit, cancellation, cleaning, damage, overtime and local supervision before confirming. Agree removal of kit and rubbish, reinstatement and a final handover.

Tell us about
your production.

Email Tom to discuss suitability, a quotation or a recce. Film and photography hire is agreed directly with the owner; a holiday booking does not authorise a shoot.

Email your enquiry

A few details will help Tom assess your shoot. Only name, email and your brief are required.

Include your budget, prep and strike time, and whether you’d like a recce or overnight accommodation. You can include a link to your treatment.

Your details are used to respond to this enquiry. Please read our privacy notice. Sending an enquiry does not reserve dates.
